Terms of Service
1. Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of all counseling and therapy services provided by The Therapy Practice. All records are securely maintained, and client information is treated with the utmost confidentiality. Information collected is solely for the purpose of providing effective therapeutic treatment. Any disclosure of information will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws and ethical guidelines.
2. Anti-Discrimination Policy
The Therapy Practice is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment. We strictly prohibit discrimination on the basis of age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/partnership status, religion, race, color, national origin, disability, heritage, or political belief. We value and respect individual differences and diversity.
3. Cancellation and Invoice Policy
- Client Cancellations: If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments will incur the full session fee. With adequate notice, we will endeavor to offer an alternative appointment where possible.
- Practice Cancellations: We will provide as much advance notice as possible if we need to cancel an appointment due to holidays or other reasons.
- Invoicing: Invoices are issued retrospectively. Clients are requested to settle their invoices within the due date specified.
4. Personal Access to Records
Clients have the right to access their records by submitting a verbal or written request. Client agreement and consent will be obtained for any communication related to their therapy arrangements.
5. Payment and Payment Methods
- Payment Terms: Payment is typically due at the end of each session, unless paid in advance for a set number of sessions.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash and credit card payments upon request. For advance payments and combined payments, additional payment methods may be available.
- Cancellation Charges: If you fail to attend your appointment or provide less than 24 hours' notice, the full fee will be charged. Short-notice cancellations make it difficult to fill the appointment slot, hence the charge.
6. Insurance and Referral Billing
- Combined Therapy Sessions: If your therapy sessions are combined with physical therapy, nutritional consultation, or massage therapy under a doctor's referral, we recommend obtaining pre-authorization from your health insurance provider.
It is every patients responsibility to provide or receive a suffcient coverage for the therapy, consultation or service before initiating and receiving any services in our facility.
In case of insufficient coverage, decline or rejecting of coverage every patient/client will be responsibly for the cost of the booked service and services received.
- Direct Billing: For sessions billed in combination with a therapy referral, we bill patients directly. To utilize direct billing, prior approval must be obtained by contacting us and receiving confirmation.
7. Amendments to Terms of Service
The Therapy Practice reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes, which will be effective immediately upon notice. Clients will also be notified of our therapy rates and cost for the specific service during the in processing of our patients, before their first appointment.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Therapy Practice operates. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
